The Matti Peled Foundation has no ideological predisposition and maintains no political affiliation. It is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit, organization and has not received any financial or other support by any political organization, individuals or party. The Foundation maintains full transparency of its activities and welcomes voluntary contributions from people and organizations, who are committed to the goals of the Foundation. All funds received will be solely used for the specific initiatives listed on this website. The MPF shall at all times remain fully accountable for any grant it makes. The MPF was founded by brothers Marek and Avi Glezerman, residents of Tel Aviv, who are long-time members of the Israeli peace camp. Professor Marek Glezerman is one of the senior gynecologists in Israel and chairman of the Edith Wolfson Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, located in the town of Holon, south of Tel Aviv. Dr. Avi Glezerman is a successful entrepreneur and active CEO of companies in the area of high-tech and electric power generation. In an earlier career he has taught modern history and Western Civilization at the Rutger’s University in NJ (USA). In 1984 Avi Glezerman served as the campaign manager for Matti Peled’s election to the 11th Knesset. Michal Sela is the director of the foundation, responsible for its day-to-day operation. She is a scholar of Arabic literature and a journalist, actively involved for many years in human rights and Israeli-Palestinian issues.
